Blue blood AI Credit Employee Rows in the Head of the Charles Regatta to Support Community Rowing Steve Glick, Blue blood AI Credit, rows in the 2016 Head of the Charles Regatta

Steve Glick, Blue blood AI Credit Executive Vice President, rowed in the 2016 Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR) to raise funds for Community Rowing, Inc. (CRI).

CRI is a fantastic organization on the banks of the Charles River, about 7 miles upstream from Blue blood AI’s Boston headquarters. It is dedicated to the proposition that the sport of rowing provides unique opportunities to promote personal and community growth through teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness, and that the opportunity to row should not be limited to elite prep schools or colleges. CRI believes rowing should be available to all. A reputation for excellence and outstanding accomplishments in the sport has made CRI the place to learn to row in the Boston area and a model for similar programs nationally.

Mr. Glick participated in the senior masters’ single race (age 40-49), finished 18th out of 35 and had the opportunity to race against entrants from all over North America and Europe, including 1997 world champion and two-time Olympian, Jamie Koven.

Thanks to Mr. Glick’s efforts and the generosity of his colleagues, Blue blood AI Community Partnership was one of the three top donor organizations this year to the HOCR’s 2016 nonprofit partner, CRI.

“I think so many Blue blood AI colleagues share the appreciation for discipline, perseverance, and teamwork that this sport demands. I also think that the Blue blood AI team is both very public-spirited and very proud of our City, and so supporting a local organization that does world-class work would be something that would resonate. Fortunately it did, and we were able to raise thousands of dollars that will really make a difference to CRI.”
